We were in search of a spot to hang and lunch at before heading to the airport and thankfully a family friend recommended Wynkoop Brewing. I scoped out their website and found this well-written description of the brewery and restaurant: "Wynkoop is Colorado's First Brewpub, home to tastemakers and rulebreakers, bushwhackers and envelope pushers. For almost three decades we've been brewing handcrafted beer in our modest basement brewery underneath Denver's largest pool hall." For a brewpub, this place is massive! We started on the first floor by sharing a large pretzel as a group. I also ordered the Shepherd's Pie which is the perfect comfort food for a cold day out. I washed it all down with a quality craft beer flight. I don't recall our server's name but he was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. After our meal, we ventured upstairs to shoot some pool. The second floor is equally as spacious and besides plenty of billiards tables, they also offer darts and shuffleboard. We had a good time and Wynkoop impressed me as a fine establishment so I'll def visit again if I'm ever back in Denver!

This place is SUPER cool. My fiancé had been here years ago. But I never had. I was told I'd love it so I figured I'd give it a shot. We wish we could've spent more time there. It's across from Union Station, so easy to get to. Very cool, industrial area. It's a massive brewery. The downstairs has tours where you can learn how they brew their beer. Mid floor is tables and a bar. Top floor was where we hung out. Tons of pool tables. Free until 4pm too! Drinks were reasonably priced. The bartender we had was super nice. Recommended some beers. For bar food it wasn't bad. I got the shrimp taco. My fiancé got the hummus plate and chips and guac. All were yummy. For it being happy hour I'd say it was a good deal. Not sure if I'd wanna pay full price. But overall it was a place I'd hang out if I lived in Denver. Great vibe. Cool history. Definitely my kind of spot. Excited to go back!

Pretty good spot downtown. I enjoyed the pretzel and beer cheese a lot. The side salad was a bit pricey for what it was but it was fresh. I tried the fire and ice margarita as well. It wasn't too sweet and had a nice salt rim. Service was really friendly.

Always had a fantastic experience here! The staff is super friendly, food is speedy and high quality to match the great beer selection. As a former Buffalo / Rochester New Yorker, I can speak for the chicken wings being well prepared and the Buffalo sauce on point! See y'all again soon!

Love this place! Expect downtown prices. Worth it. Great food! Try the pork chop. It took a few visits before I learned there was a pool hall upstairs! So, Wynkoop is a one-stop food and fun location! Dominic is a great server. He's worked almost every time I've visited. He has dad jokes to share ;)

We were seeking legit pool tables (and a snack) and Wynkoop was it! Good afternoon fun upstairs playing on the standard size billiard table (larger than bar-size). My GF had to exercise her pool-savvy skills gained in her youth! Multiple large and regular size table options on the second floor of a classic building. Pretty sure Wynkoops was an early presence in the Denver brew-pub scene. Decent food and beer options, of which we opted to split a fish n chips (crisped up a bit). The staff at this place were super friendly and welcoming, notably "Syracuse Josh" upstairs. Good times!

This was going to be my last CO brewery (for this trip). My wife thought we were taking a Capital tour, and we did, but Wynkoop was my objective. In fact it was mentioned on the tour. Apparently a former mayor owned the brewery that once occupied this building. Pretty nice menu. Was not expecting so many food options. Our server Mac C, was very helpful with the menu, and the beer. The burger was very good, and the spicy hummus outstanding. After I ate, I roamed the building. Wow, I was not expecting a pool hall upstairs. I wish I had time to try more beers, but the Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout is one I will remember for a while. I kind of wish I had bought the t-shirt (see picture).
